This is the quickest tour and includes a city tour of Cusco, and also a guided tour to some of the main archaeological places like kenko, Puca-Pucara, Tambomachay, Sacsayhuaman and of course a guided tour of the new wonder world: Machupicchu.
ITINERARY
Lima - Cusco (City Tour + Machu Picchu by Train) – Lima
Day 1 .../ Lima
Reception and transfer from the airport to your hotel.
Day 2 Lima / Cusco
Early drop off at Lima airport to board your flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon your arrival in Cusco you will be received and transported to your hotel. At 3pm you will begin an escorted city tour of Cusco and surrounding ruins: KENKO, PUCA-PUCARA and TAMBOMACHAY continuing on to the fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN. When finished you will be returned to your hotel.
Day 3 Cusco / Machupicchu / Cusco
Early departure from your hotel to the train station for a full day tour of the citadel of MACHUPICCHU, the "Lost City of the Incas". This is one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture, Machupicchu truly lives up to its status as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The citadel is located on a mist-shrouded mountaintop surrounded by lush forest. Lunch is included in AGUAS CALIENTES. Return to Cusco by train in the afternoon. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Day 4 Cusco / Lima / …
Early transfer to the airport to take your flight to Lima. At this point, you will connect with your international flight.
