This tour includes a guided visit to Colonial and modern Lima City, Cuzco city tour,and also a visit around the main archaeological sites like kenko, Puca-Pucara, Tambomachay, Sacsayhuaman, Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Machupicchu, and the majestic Peruvian Tambopata Candamo Reserve located in the middle of the jungle.
ITINERARY
Lima (City Tour) - Cusco (City Tour + Machu Picchu by Train) – Puerto Maldonado (Lodge + Jungle Tour) - Lima
Day 1 …../Lima
Reception and
transfer from the airport to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 2 Lima
In the morning, you will receive a guided tour of colonial
and modern Lima. This tour includes a ride to see Lima’s
colonial churches, palaces and promenades including San Martin Square, the Main Square, the Cathedral of Lima, the Government
Palace and San Francisco
Church. You also
will visit Lima’s residential areas: San
Isidro with its Olive grove,
Miraflores with its Central Park, as well
as a pleasant drive along the Costa Verde, Lima’s
ocean front to enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific
ocean.
Day 3 Lima/Cusco
Early drop off at Lima airport to board your flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon your
arrival in Cusco you will be received and
transported to your hotel. At 3pm you
will begin an escorted city tour of Cusco and
surrounding ruins: KENKO, PUCA-PUCARA and TAMBOMACHAY continuing on to the
fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN. When finished
you will be returned to your hotel.
Day 4 Cusco/Machu Picchu/Cusco
Early departure from your hotel to the train station for a full day tour
of the citadel of MACHUPICCHU, the "Lost City
of the Incas". This is one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture,
Machupicchu truly lives up to its status as one of the Seven
Wonders of the World. The
citadel is located on a mist-shrouded mountaintop surrounded by lush forest.
Lunch is included in AGUAS CALIENTES. Return to Cusco
by train in the afternoon. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Day 5
Cusco/Puerto Maldonado
Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Arrival and transfer from the airport to the small town of Puerto Maldonado. Departure from the riverside dock in a dug-out
canoe equipped with outboard motor to
your lodge. Arrival at the lodge.
Lunch. In the afternoon, there will be
a leisurely walk into the jungle with a native guide who will introduce you to
the exceptional flora and fauna of the area as well as the lifestyle of the
people of the Amazon basin. Return to the lodge, delicious traditional dinner
. Overnight.
Day 6 Puerto Maldonado
Early in the morning, there will again be an excursion in the
dug-out canoe and a walk in the jungle to observe animals and vegetation. Return to the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon,
you will visit a typical native farm. Dinner.
Day 7
Puerto Maldonado/Lima
Early , boat cruise back to Puerto Maldonado and
transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to your
hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight
Day 8 Lima/…..
Transfer to Lima airport to board
your international flight.
